Hi Guys!

Hey people!
I'm not quite clear on who's reading this blog, but yeah, hello, hello, whoever you are!
For all of you who don't know me yet- I'm Penina Harrison, I live in Montreal, I'm fifteen and I'm training to be Editorial Director of Yaldah- basically, deciding which stuff or what kind of stuff goes in, looking at where it will go, and basically making sure things are going ok. I've started working with Leah and Nechama a little, and it's a lot of fun. Little secret though, I'm kinda nervous...
But it'll be fun.
By now everyone knows that the Shabbaton is happening, right? I'm going! So, so excited. I can't wait to meet everyone- well, whoever's going. Whoever isn't- next time, maybe?
I'm gonna go now. Anyone who wants to email me, it's penina@yaldahmagazine.com
Good Shabbos everyone,
Penina

Scary, no? lol, jk penina. It's cool that you posted on here, and the other staff people. Was it a one time thing, or will it always be like that, that you people could post?

Penina said...

I dunno, I got an email that I was invited to post...
Yeah, and oooh, so scary. Cuz I'm gonna go posting private things that can be used against me, right?

Lizzooo said...

No, i'm saying scary that you don't even know who's reading this. You're just like poosting your omments on here, and any random person will come read it. Maybe your teachers....lol, jk.
Ok, maybe it's not scary, k Penina dear?

Thanks Aliza :)
I want to get around to making a website- a real one- but I think that's a big project so it'll have to wait a while.
A different big project I want to start- but I know I never will- is learning Latin. I just found out that Emily reads it fluently and I am so jealous.
rutapickle1- who in heaven's name are you?

Hi I run a day camp for girls and I would love to do a play with them this summer. I am having a very difficult time finding a script for a play. I would like for it to have a jewish feeling (not annie etc.). Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

Are you Lubavitch? Because if you aren't, there's this amazing book I read called Promise Me Tomorrow that's about the founding of a bais yaakov school, and also about socialists and Russia- or possibly Poland, I can't recall- during an era of horrible poverty. I read a lot, and it was definitely one of the maybe 5 best Jewish books I have ever come across. I know it has been adapted into a play, though I have absolutely no idea where you might find the script.

Why does it make a different if she is Lubavitch or not? Bais Yaakov is for all Jewish girls.

Penina said...

I know, but a lot of Lubavitchers go to Lubavitch schools, and some of them would feel uncomfortable making a play about Beis Yaakov.
